BestStart Pharazyn Kindy
Wouldn’t you like to be part of BestStart Pharazyn Street Kindy (formerly Community Kindy Melling) and all we have to offer? Enjoying our natural environment that fosters the great Kiwi spirit of build it, fix it, grow-it re-cycle it and learn with laughter and fun along the way?
We are situated next to the Melling Train Station in Lower Hutt, meaning that it is convenient for you to drop off or pick up your child if commuting further afield.
Our centre is open from 8am to 5pm, 52 weeks of the year, only closing for public holidays. This means that we are open throughout the school holidays and the Christmas break to cater for families who still wish for their children to attend over these periods. As well as providing full time bookings, we also offer a range of different sessions to meet the differing needs of families in our community.
We provide a variety of learning experiences that support and extend the curiosity of children…….. we believe children learn while they play alongside each other and with the support and encouragement of a passionate teaching team. Come and visit us sometime soon to see for yourself what a special place BestStart Pharazyn Street Kindy is.
What makes BestStart Pharazyn Kindy so great:-
- BestStart Pharazyn Street Kindy is a fun, welcoming and happy place to be a part of.
- We have a HUGE, outdoor playground so we can provide lots of opportunity to run, hide, ride bikes, skip, jump and of course have fun!
- We have a large sandpit – perfect for digging, raking, cooking in the mud kitchen and much more!
- We have trees for the children to climb and an opportunity for gardening in our veggie garden.
- We have a team of teachers who are committed to delivering a stimulating, nurturing educational programme for children.
- We have a strong partnership with families/whanau and our local community
- We have a robust Be School Ready initiative and strong links with schools in our community.
- We follow the “Project Approach” to learning that supports children to lead the learning. Each child also has their own learning journal that belongs to them, this captures their individual stories and show-cases their creations as well.
